ACCESSIBILITY

At the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, we strive to deliver the best experience possible for all guests. We offer a 50% discount off zoo admission for members of the deaf community, members of the blind community, and guests entering our zoo in a wheelchair.

We are the first facility in Florida, and the first zoo in history, to receive the WheelChariot Gold Certification for wheelchair accessibility. Wheelchair mobility is possible property-wide, including shows, restrooms, and animal encounters. Complimentary manual wheelchairs are available for use on zoo property.

For more information on wheelchair accessibility during animal encounters, see below:

  • Behind the Scenes Tours: fully accessible with an electric or manual wheelchair. Portions of the tour path are unpaved.
  • Sloth Encounter: fully accessible with a manual wheelchair. Guests in an electric wheelchair must transfer to a manual wheelchair for this experience. The sloth habitat is unpaved.
  • Galapagos Tortoise Encounter: fully accessible with a manual wheelchair. Guests in an electric wheelchair must transfer to a manual wheelchair for this experience. The Galapagos tortoise habitat is unpaved.
