When school is out, Zoo Camp is in!

Zoo Camps teach children about wildlife, introduce them to zoological conservation, and help them make new friends. Our education team is excited to welcome your future zoologists to our park as we participate in fun-filled single-day or week-long camps at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. SINGLE-DAY CAMPS

Single-day Zoo Camps are open for students ages 6 to 10. Lunch and snacks are provided, or campers may bring their own. Please have your camper bring a small bag with anything they may need for the day. Suggested pack list: water bottle, closed-toe shoes, weather and outdoor camp appropriate clothing, jacket (if needed), lunch and snacks (if needed), daily medications.

2026 Dates: January 19th, February 13th, March 16, 17,18,19,20 (spring break camp).
Price: $60 members, $65 non-members

SUMMER WEEK-LONG CAMPS

Week-long Zoo Camps are open for students ages 6 to 10. For students 10 – 14, check out our Junior Zoologist Camp! Lunch and snacks are provided, or campers may bring their own. One camp shirt is provided for the week, and additional shirts are available for purchase. Please have your camper bring a small bag with anything may need for the day. Suggested pack list: water bottle, closed-toe shoes, weather and outdoor camp appropriate clothing, jacket (if needed), lunch and snacks (if needed), daily medications.

  • LIGHTS, CAMERA, CREATURES!

  • Discover the science and creativity behind your favorite movie creatures! In this exciting camp, we’ll explore how real-life animals inspire the design, movement, and behavior of iconic creatures on screen—like how macaws helped shape the dragons in How to Train Your Dragon. Through hands-on activities and discussions, campers will dive into worlds from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and more, uncovering the amazing connections between biology, imagination, and movie magic.
  • ANIMAL ENGINEERS

  • Get ready to discover the creative side of the animal kingdom! In this camp, campers will explore how animals’ express creativity by building amazing homes, crafting eye-catching displays, and solving problems in clever ways. We’ll uncover how humans can support animal “engineering” through enrichment, habitat design, and creative challenges that help animals thrive. It’s a hands-on look at imagination, innovation, and the art of nature!

  • Avast ye, mateys! Hoist the sails and prepare for a week of swashbuckling adventure as we dive into the daring life of pirates. Campers will uncover tales of legendary pirates, hunt for hidden treasure, and test their bravery on the high seas. All Zoo Campers must follow zoo rules. Campers must: wear closed-toe shoes with a back (no clogs/Croc-like shoes); follow the instructions given by zoo staff; take part in all scheduled activities; stay with the group at all times; be respectful of others including staff, other campers, and animals; keep their hands, feet, and objects to themselves. No running or horseplay is permitted. Before and aftercare are not provided.
