The 2011 rookery season is about to begin!

Photographers can purchase our annual Photo Pass to enjoy the benefits of early entry into the park and vie for the winning shot in our yearly photography contest. Photo passes are available for purchase at the ticket counter or in advance of your visit through our website.

When will AF start opening early for the photo passes?

Early entry begins Saturday, March 5th and runs through Sunday, July 10th.

Can an out of state photographer get a daily early entry pass?

Early entry is only a benefit for those who purchase a Photo Pass. Daily pass purchases provide access into the park at 9 am.

For someone who is visiting the area and won’t be back for a few years, I really think you should consider a one-day photo pass priced between the regular daily admission pass and the full-year photo pass. You could even remove the ability to enter the photo contest if that helps. I just don’t need a whole year of access, just the hour before and after. Thank you.

Early entry is a special benefit only for those who purchase our yearly Photo Pass. Photographers can stay late (dependent on closing zookeeper) with the purchase of a day pass.

I was thinking that you had a 2-day early admission pass for photographers for around $89. Boy was I disappointed to visit your website to learn an annual pass is required. Wish I lived closer than PA! With all the winter visitors in your area it would be nice to have a 2-day pass.

Don’t be disappointed! We do have a 2 day pass for $74.95, but do not openly advertise it. This pass can be purchased at the door or in advance from Molly at (904) 824-3337 x110. It is also only valid during the rookery season which runs this year from 2/29-6/28. It would not make any sense during the middle of the winter. Hope to see you soon!
