Gorgeous Graphics

Lousy photos by Gen Anderson

The rookery not only contains a stunning congregation of nesting wading birds, but also more than a dozen gorgeous new signs detailing the various species which call the zoo home. On your next visit to the rookery, please look away from the trees for a few moments to admire the graphics!

My wife and I found the Alligator Farm when we were touring around in 2003. We spent the afternoon there and learned more about the world’s crocodilians than we thought we would ever need to know. The rookery was spectacular – and noisy and smelly. Those birds don’t care where they do what they do and don’t care who they tell about it.
We got off to the perfect start when we were paying to get in: when we told the the lady behind the counter that we were from New Zealand, she gave us a discount, because she said her other job was a travel agent and she had just returned from a trip to NZ.
We had a great three weeks in Florida on that trip and the Alligator Farm was right up there with the best of it.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about how much you enjoyed your trip. Please visit again soon since we have renovated most of the zoo since 2003!
